Macael and the region of Valle del Almanzora have been declared "Zone of Artisanal Interest", by the government of Andalusia, being the first in the Province of Almeria, and all thanks to the recognition of our artisans in the world.
The visit will consist of visiting a craft or sculpture workshop in the industrial area of Macael, where we will have the opportunity to learn more about the world of stone and see how a sculptor works.
The different processes of transformation and elaboration of marble will be explained.
The guide's explanations will be supported by demonstrations and stories by renowned sculptors and master craftsmen, who will teach visitors how to carve marble, and they will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skill.
The visit will conclude with a tour of an exhibition of crafts made of marble where they will have the possibility of acquiring mortars or other decorative objects at very low prices.
