In 1822 (six generations ago), the Lindemans family started brewing ‘lambic’ beer on a farm in Vlezenbeek. In 1930 agricultural activities were discontinued, so that one could concentrate fully on brewing ‘lambic’, ‘geuze’ and ‘kriek’.
Although the old brewery was extended by a new brew house (1991) and bottling plant (2013) the old copper and installations are still present.
With great dedication, the Lindemans family is brewing the typical beers, according to the traditional method of spontaneous fermentation. The brewery continues to be loyal to its original and exceptional recipe, which brings craftsmanship and experience from generation to generation.
